Camper's Review

Celebrating Birthday at Hosu Caravan Camping Near Seoul!
Since my husband’s birthday was coming up, we decided to go on a camping trip at Hosu Caravan Camping, a great camping spot near Seoul!
I love winter camping, but having to pack all the necessary gear can be such a hassle. However, Hosu Caravan Camping had everything we needed, making it the perfect place even for camping beginners!

✨Location & First Impressions
Hosu Caravan Camping is located in Paju, but as we drove there, we realized it’s actually very close to Yangju!
As soon as we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and provided clear instructions.
Plus, we were welcomed by Camp, the adorable camping site dog!

✨On-Site Store (Self-Service)

The campground store operates on a self-service basis.
It is conveniently located overlooking Majang Lake, making it the perfect spot to buy instant noodles and enjoy them with a view.
Since it’s unmanned, you can pay each time you buy something or settle everything at the end of your stay.
The store also had a festive Christmas vibe, adding to the cozy atmosphere! ✨
You can buy various alcoholic beverages (beer, soju, premium soju, Halla Tonic), snacks, ramen, bottled water, firewood, sweet potatoes, and potatoes. Also, coffee is free! ☕ If you love coffee, imagine brewing a fresh cup in the morning while enjoying the view of Majang Lake—it’s pure bliss!
✨Camping Facilities – Clean & Convenient
Dishwashing Station
The washing area had warm water, making dishwashing much easier in the cold.
What’s amazing for beginners (or those who don’t want to pack too much gear) is that all essential cookware, seasonings, and even cooking oil are provided!
Each caravan comes with basic dishware, but if you need extras, you can grab them here!

✨ Restrooms – Clean & Well-Maintained
There are two restrooms, one outside and another near the dishwashing station.
They were odor-free and spotlessly clean, showing how well they are maintained!
✨ Our Stay in a Second-Floor Caravan
For our 1-night, 2-day trip (Sunday–Monday), we stayed in a second-floor caravan (you need to go up a staircase to reach it).
The view from the second floor was stunning!
If you want easy access to the washing station, store, and restrooms, choose a first-floor caravan.
If you prefer a panoramic, open view, go for a second-floor caravan!
Each caravan has a mini table and chairs outside for a cozy camping vibe.
Inside, everything is already set up—a mini fridge, dishes, portable gas stove, table, and chairs.
All we had to bring was food! Super convenient!

✨ Staying Warm in the Caravan
We were worried about the cold, but surprisingly, it wasn’t chilly at all!
Each caravan has a heater and an electric blanket, making it nice and cozy inside.
The interior was clean, and the temperature was just right for a comfortable sleep!
✨Evening at Majang Lake & the Campfire
As the sun set over Majang Lake, the whole camping site became even more magical.
I loved the winter camping vibes, and the staff even lit a fire at the right time, adding to the atmosphere.
Everyone at Hosu Caravan Camping was so friendly, making the experience even better!

✨The Highlight of Camping: BBQ Time!
The best part of glamping? BBQ!
This time, we went all out and grilled a 1kg tomahawk steak!
While waiting for the steak to cook, we snacked on cheese galbi (cheese-covered ribs)—so delicious!
The grilled tomahawk was incredibly flavorful, and of course, we had fried rice afterward. Absolute satisfaction!
We then had charcoal-grilled scallops and pork neck, which were just as delicious.

✨Unexpected Guests: Two Adorable Cats!
While grilling, two friendly cats wandered over—probably hoping for a snack. ????
One of them kept asking my husband for pets—such a cutie!

✨Morning Walk by Majang Lake
A morning walk around Majang Lake is a must!
The best part of this camping site is its close proximity to Majang Lake.
There’s a walking trail right in front of the campground that leads to a suspension bridge, making the whole experience even more fun.
Since we didn’t drink too much the night before, we woke up early, had ramen for breakfast, and took a morning walk—it was pure happiness!
✨Final Thoughts – Perfect for Beginners!
Hosou Caravan Camping is super beginner-friendly, making it the perfect spot for a hassle-free camping experience.
If you’re looking for a relaxing yet adventurous camping trip near Seoul, I highly recommend this place!
